What is Permanent Makeup?

Permanent Makeup has been around for years in the beauty industry, but recently it has taken off with it's popularity amongst women looking to simplify their makeup routines.

Permanent makeup is a cosmetic technique which employs tattoos (permanent pigmentation of the dermis) as a means of producing designs that resemble makeup, such as eye-lining and other permanent enhancing colors to the skin of the face, lips, and eyelids. It is also used to produce artificial eyebrows, particularly in people who have lost them as a consequence of old age, disease, such as alopecia, chemotherapy, or a genetic disturbance, and to disguise scars and white spots in the skin such as in vitiligo. It is also used to restore or enhance the breast's areola, such as after breast surgery.

Why Permanent Makeup is for you!

  • Eliminate the morning battle of applying eyeliner

  • Perfectly shaped brows EVERY DAY!

  • Enhance your natural lip color or even correct asymmetry

  • Hide a minor scar

  • NEVER worry about the hot sun melting away your makeup

Permanent Makeup can benefit both the young and the old and enhance anyone's features quickly and leave lasting results!

Is Permanent Makeup a safe procedure?

At DermAroma Day Spa, the procedures are performed under sterile conditions, using only disposable needle cartridges. There are no long-term side effects; short-term effects may include some redness, swelling, and tenderness. There are no known allergic reactions to pigments.

How is Permanent Makeup applied?

At DermAroma, our trained artist first begins the procedure with a consult that allows the client to see exactly what the outcome will be. Color matching and correcting, along with an outline of the desired look is drawn on the client and measured precisely to the dimensions of the client's face to guarantee symmetry. Once both the client and artist are happy with the look, the procedure can begin.

A numbing ointment is applied to the area being treated to give the client a more comfortable and painless procedure. After the numbing process, our artist begins the micro-pigmentation service and applies the color into the skin with her precise and perfected hand-technique. Our hand-technique at DermAroma eliminates error by allowing for slow and direct contact with the area being treated.

All of our pigments used are sterile and of the highest quality to leave lasting results and no fading or graying of colors.

Once the procedure has been completed, the client is given instructions to follow for a few days following the procedure to promise the best results with the service. A follow-up appointment is made 4-6 weeks after the initial appointment.
